Emergency

In any life-threatening emergency, call 999 immediately.

Fire

If you discover a fire:

  1. Alert everyone in the house and evacuate immediately
  2. Call 999
  3. Do not re-enter the building

Fire extinguisher — located beside the fireplace in the living room
Fire blanket — beside the gas hob in the kitchen
Smoke detectors — fitted on every floor
Carbon monoxide detectors - near fireplace and near gas hob

Please don't use the extinguisher unless you are confident doing so and the fire is very small. Your safety comes first.

Gas Leak

  • Do not operate any switches or flames
  • Open windows and doors
  • Evacuate the property
  • Shut off the gas at the meter in the front garden
  • Call National Gas Emergency on 0800 111 999

Water Leak

  • The water stopcock is at the back of the cupboard to the right of the cooker
  • Call Ben on the number above

Power Cut

  • Check if neighbouring properties are also affected. If so, report to National Grid on 105.

  • If the outage is isolated to the cottage, check the fuse board — located in Bedroom 1 corner cupboard.

  • Call Ben if needed on number above
